20th Century Fox Roadshow 70mm lobby cards (11x14) for the Joseph L. Mankiewicz epic CLEOPATRA (1963) starring Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton and Rex Harrison. Three iconic moments from the film are shown on these lobbies: the coronation of Cleopatra, Cleopatra's barge on it's way to Actium and Cleopatra's magnificent entrance into Rome atop a giant Sphinx. The movie was the most expensive film ever made when it was produced, almost bankrupting 20th Century Fox. The set design and decoration on these lobbies give a good idea of why that almost happened.
