Paramount Pictures Original Italian 79x55 poster for the William Wyler directed drama CARRIE (1952) starring Sir Laurence Olivier, Jennifer Jones, Miriam Hopkins, Eddie Albert, Basis Ruysdael, Ray Teal and Barry Kelley. The film was based on an American novel by Theodore Dreiser, "Sister Carrie". Jennifer Jones plays Carrie Meeber, a young woman from a small town who comes to Chicago to see her fortune. She encounters difficulties along the way of course. Olivier plays the man who is fascinated with her and will sacrifice much to be with her. The poster is notable principally as a nice portrait of Olivier by Ercole Brini. This is a large format poster printed on two separate panels which are joined together to display as one poster. The poster is folded, and it was used in a cinema in Italy. We have graded it in fine plus conditions, but it can be regarded as average used, showing modest signs of wear and tear.
