Warner Brothers Original Italian 39x55 poster for the Michael Curtiz directed film THE BOY FROM OKLAHOMA (1954), starring Will Rogers, Jr., Nancy Olson, Lon Chaney, Jr., Anthony Caruso, Wallace Ford, Merv Griffin, Sheb Wooley, Slim Pickens and Monte Blue. William Vann Rogers was the eldest son of the American humorist Will Rogers. Will Rogers, Jr. had a varied career in politics, publishing and as an occasional actor. This movie got a pretty big treatment from Warner Brothers, with a huge cast of known character actors, and direction by no less a light than Curtiz. After the release of the film, the story was used as a template for the television show "Sugarfoot". This Italian poster has proven to be scarce, and we believe that this example, while in theater-used and somewhat worn condition, is the best example we know of. The art is by Luigi Martinati.
