Original Warner Brothers One Sheet Poster (27x41) for Arthur Penn biographical masterpiece, BONNIE AND CLYDE (1967) starring Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, Gene Hackman, and Estelle Parsons. A bored girl and a small-time bank robber team up and leave a string of violent robberies and newspaper headlines that catch the imagination of depression era America. Instead of just portraying the two as psychopathic thrill killers, we are presented a pair of archetypal lovers just bored with their lives and out for some fun and some cash. The famous violent ending hastened the end of the anachronistic Hayes code, and the film helped shape the 60's image of the anti-hero. Nominated for 10 Academy Awards including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Picture-- the film won the Oscar for Best Cinematography and Best Supporting Actress to Parsons. This original one sheet poster is folded and in very good condition. Some minor stain. A perfect candidate for linen backing; ask us about restoration services. This is classified as very good condition because the upper right hand corner has been torn off. Otherwise the poster is quite good. A perfect candidate for linen backing. Priced appropriately. I might add that this is clearly the earliest edition of this poster by virtue of the type of high quality paper on which it is printed.
