Original MGM Insert Poster(14x36) for the Edward Buzzell delightful musical comedy, BEST FOOT FORWARD (1943) starring Lucille Ball, William Gaxton, Tommy Dix, Nancy Walker, and Harry James and His Music Makers. This is the story of a Hollywood star (Ball) who, as part of a publicity stunt, agrees to be the guest of young cadet (Dix) at a military school prom. Nancy Walker, who makes her film debut, is absolutely hilarious as the "Blind Date" girl. The original Broadway musical opened in 1941 and ran for 326 performances. A 1963 off-Broadway revival starred Liza Minnelli. This original 14x36 features color photographs of the players and a fantastic caricature of trumpet player Harry James by Al Hirschfeld and is in fine condition. The colors are vivid, and there is no missing paper.
