Original Topaz Films Scene Lobby Card (11x14) for the Anthony Dawson (Antonio Margheriti) sci-fi classic, BATTLE OF THE WORLDS (1963) starring Claude Rains, Bill Carter, Umberto Orisini, and Maya Brent. The was the dubbed English version of the original Italian film, IL PIANETA DEGLI UOMINI SPENTI (1961), about an asteroid on a collision course with the earth that instead goes into orbit around the earth and from which it launches flying saucers to attack the earth. Claude Rains gives a typically wonderful performance as the cynical scientist guiding the efforts to thwart the alien invaders. This original scene lobby card is in good condition with some creases, wrinkling, and tape on the reverse side.
