Original Allied Artists Scene Lobby Card (11x14) for the Roger Corman science fiction horror classic, ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS (1957) starring Richard Garland, Pamela Duncan, Russell Johnson, and Leslie Bradley. This film tells the story of a group of scientists who travel to a remote island to study the effects of nuclear weapons tests. When they get stranded, they discover that the island has been taken over by enormous crab monsters, who absorb the minds and personalities of their victims. This lobby card is a quintessential example of one of the most popular genres in movie memorabilia -- the science fiction movies of the 1950s. While these films may have suffered from inferior acting and special effects, the posters and lobby cards for these opuses define the art of showmanship with rich, colorful and often wildly campy images.
