Original American International Pictures One Sheet Poster (27x41) for the Ishiro Honda science fiction adventure, ATRAGON (1963) starring Tadao Takashima, Yoko Fujiyama, and Yu Fujiki. The film was based on a series of juvenile adventure novels by Shunro Oshikawa (heavily influenced by Jules Verne) and the illustrated story by Shigeru Komatsuzaki, serialized in a monthly magazine for boys. The convoluted plot involves the legendary lost continent of Mu, which suddenly reappears to threaten the world with domination. While a number of nations unite to resist, an isolated World War II captain has created the greatest warship ever seen and possibly the world's only defense.
