Original U.S. Lobby Card Set Eight 11x14 Cards Fine Plus Condition
MGM Original U.S. Set of Eight Lobby Cards for the Frank Tashlin directed British detective film THE ALPHABET MURDERS (1966). The film stars Tony Randall, Anita Ekbert, Robert Morley, Guy Rolfe, Julian Glover and Richard Wattis. The movie was based on the Agatha Christie novel of 1936, "The A. B. C. Murders" and Randall plays her eternal detective Hercule Poirot. If you watch the film, look for a cameo of Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple, one of the few times when both of Christie's detectives turned up together When the scriptwriters tried to give Poirot an amorous turn in the bedroom, Agatha Christie raised some objections. The entire film is directed more to the comedy side than the mystery side. Tony Randall was everywhere during this period. And Anita Ekberg! These cards were used in a theater, but they have weathered the decades well, and we have graded them in fine plus condition. MovieArt Original Film Posters in Austin, Texas guarantees these lobby cards to be authentic. MovieArt Austin does not sell reproductions.
