Original First National Pictures Six Sheet Poster (81x81) for the early Michael Curtiz melodrama, ALIAS THE DOCTOR (1932) starring Richard Barthelmess, Marian Marsh, and Norman Foster. This is the story of two brothers-- Karl (Barthelmess) is an adopted workaholic super achiever, while his brother Stephan (Foster) wastes his time on alcohol and women. Both brothers enter medical school together, but Karl winds up taking the rap and serving four years in prison for an illegal and unsuccessful operation that his incompetent brother performs. This film is an early talkie, and everyone overacts and hams it up accordingly. This original stone lithograph six sheet poster is folded and in very good condition.
