Original Italian 79x55 Poster Folded Very Good Plus to Fine Condition
MGM Original Italian Four Foglio poster (79x55) for the 1960 version of the Mark Twain tale. Quite respectably executed with redheaded Eddie Hodges as Huck and boxer Archie Moore as Jim. The film was produced by Samuel Goldwyn Jr. and directed by Michael Curtiz. Look for a quick performance by Buster Keaton. The Mark Twain novel presents a huge challenge for filmmakers because it is such and interior novel, told in the first person. Dramatizing the nuance in the book, and keeping the historical perspective is tricky for a screenwriter. Here MGM pulled out all it's resources with a great director and a huge cast including Tony Randall, Patty McCormack, Neville Brand, Judy Canova, Andy Devine, John Carradine, Royal Dano, Harry Dean Stanton, Finlay Currie and Mickey Shaughnessy. It's a handsome film, shot in CinemaScope by Ted D. McCord. Screenplay by James Lee. Here is a big and beautiful poster for the film with art by Nano. We have graded the poster as very good plus to fine. Used in an Italian cinema, this poster is printed on two sheets which overlap.
